Cain Press Release

Re-Elect Chap Cain Judge of the 253rd District Court

Chap Cain has formally announced his candidacy for re-election as Judge of the 253rd District Court. Cain has honorably served as a judge for the past 19 years.

Judge Cain is 50 years old and has been happily married to his wife, Stacey, for 26 years. Chap and Stacey have four daughters. The oldest, Ashley, is married to a United States Marine who is currently serving in Afghanistan. While he is on combat duty, Ashley and the Cain’s first grandchild, Brayden, are living in the family home in Liberty. The Cain’s second daughter, Whitney, is attending Blinn Junior College and wants to become a nurse. Shelby is a Liberty High School senior, in the top 10% of her class, and a cheerleader. The Cain’s youngest daughter, Courtney, is an 8th grade cheerleader and an “A” student. Judge Cain’s wife, Stacey, taught 8th grade math for many years, earned her Master’s degree, and is the principal at San Jacinto Elementary School in Liberty.

Judge Cain is a 4th generation Liberty and Chambers county lawyer. He has a family history of public service. Cain’s grandfather and great-grandfather held elected positions including Judge, District Attorney, and County Attorney.

Chap Cain graduated from Liberty High School, attended Baylor University, and graduated from Baylor Law School. He was licensed to practice law in 1984 and had a successful trial practice of civil and criminal cases. He tried numerous civil and criminal jury trials. This successful trial experience prepared him for a future judicial position.

Judge Cain ran for the County Court at Law 20 years ago and won. Many people consider the County Court at Law to be a training ground for future District judges. The County Court at Law handled less serious criminal cases, family law matters, and civil cases up to $100,000. After 8 years and presiding over thousands of cases, Judge Cain ran for the 253rd District Court and was elected.

For over 11 years, Chap Cain has served as the Judge of the 253rd District Court. The court handles the most serious civil and criminal matters including capital murder, aggravated sexual assault of a child, complex business litigation, serious injury cases, divorce, and child custody. The 253rd District Court is not a traffic court that can be handled by a novice. The people need a hard-working judge with experience, dedication, and professional discipline.

In the last 19 years, Judge Chap Cain has decided over 31,694 cases. He did this through hard work and dedication to his profession and the people of Liberty and Chambers Counties.

Judge Chap Cain promises this same faithful service if given that opportunity by the voters. Your vote and assistance to re-elect Chap Cain 253rd District Court Judge will be appreciated.

If Chap is elected, Mike Little will eventually indict Chap.

We all know about Mike Little and his agendas, pure revenge. A burnout who should be disbarred.
He can take demonic Joe Warren with him.

Chap and the entire Cain and Halstead family are top notch people and always have been. Chap's sister had the guts to cross the party lines of her family some 12 years ago, while it has taken Chap a bit longer there are many factors that obviously could have kept this change delayed. None the less lets go Chap!

Julie Halstead should run against Little, she would make the perfect DA. Little and his minions are clearly corrupt. A tool of revenge for Arthur, Huff, Fitzgerald and other corrupt individuals. Julie will be an unbiased neutral non-political DA, someone we can all be proud of in the Courthouse. She can clear the playing field in Liberty County and make things right.

You forgot to list judge CT Rusty Hight of the 75th, its 'clearly' his court they use to perpetrate their corrupt acts.

Cain and Fitzgerald can enjy the tem "yor honor" but they do notdeserve it. Cain always has an opponent tha some really stupid personal behavior comes out aout and ditracts voers from his own reign as king over a courthouse that stinks with corruptness.

wow, lots of controversy surrounding this man and others in the liberty courthouse

CT Hight, Huff, Mike Little and Fitzgerald are going to get Cain, one way or another.

I like Cain, too bad he has to put up with these &urds.

I Guess Taylor is forced to step aside or else, Rusty's good friend. And look at the rat trying to slide under the radar--Chambers for Judge--what a joke! We need to vote for new people and clear the entire ship full of crooked rats out !!!

The reason Hight and Fitzgerald and Zbranek and others don't like Cain is that whatever he says is going to be how it is. They aren't use to having to do what other peple say. They don't like someone being like a king unless it is them.

People are always talking about the Cains, Julie and Chap, and Bruce Halstead and how we shouldn't have that many people from one family running things in the county, but Rusty Hight and Zack Zbranek are close kinfolk. That duo worries me more than any Cain/Halstead connection.

Anonymous said...

Is this the same Zack Zbranek that was the bartender at the country club? He is not much like his father. When on earth and how did he end up with a law degree?

Anonymous said...

Now let me get this straight Lester Wisegerber is the Republican party guy and he is kin to Rusty Hight and Rusty Hight is kin to Zack Zbranek. Hight and Zbranek are both Democrats? Isn't there enough possibility of a conflict of interest because Wisegerber's main job is to get Republicans elected? What can be done about this if Wisegerber refuses to step down?

Anonymous said...

Have you noticed KSHN and i-dineout have not reported one thing about the unique position that the person points out about three of these men being kin and a conflict of interest? First let's acknowledge Mr. Wisegerber may not have even known about the Zack Zbranek running. But there is something he can be do and he must do because he has a reputation for NOT suppporting his own candidates before this situation. He must announce he is dropping out of the race for chairman and then help turn over the reigns to Andrew McCreight. If he does not do that I hope voters will see that an eighty year old man that is kin to two of our opponents, love him or not, is not a good place to cast a vote.

Liberty Dispatch, I have noticed you are starting to post the name Zack Zbranek. I know you tend to post most comments, unlike that liberalogan player who promotes gay marriage and Obamacare. But please realize that when we went from Zeke Zbanek to Zeb Zbranek I think we lost about 40 IQ points and a whole lot more common sense and social skills and when we go from Zeb Zbanek down to Zack.....well let's just say that is unacceptable. Can we talk about races that should be competitive?

Hey Ray, when you are the new kid in town it is easy to make people side with the old guys. Be careful so people in Dayton understand that they need to clean up any improper sitautions created by people on the ballot from Dayton. Dayton voters could get defensive and swarm to vote for Lester Ray if they don't stay focued on the sitaution and how their vote would be approving another conflict of interest where the person charged with electing Republicans will not be likely to help a couple of them. It is an exciting time here and we finally feel like we are going to get to have our fair share of sayso, I just hope we don't lose sight of doing things in a way that the rest of the county voters can feel good about.

Wisegerber is dropping Tommy Chambers in the grease for Zack Zbranek at the instruction of Rusty Hight. Wisegerber, a supposed Republican, he regularly drops his candidates in grease for his democrat good ole boys.

Anonymous said...

Well i cant complain about that, its one more rat it the grease that the voters wont have to drop. These people are not Dems or Reps, just a bunch of crooks who will switch hit anyone who threatens their ability to cheat this counties tax payers out of everything they can.

Anonymous said...

What makes Tommy a rat? Because you don't like his lack of "social grace"? Tommy was not really obligated to either party-true. He is probably one of the few people running for the right reason, not for the political position, but to serve the people of his home county and uphold the law. He has never and would never cheat anyone!

Rumor has it Merendino really doesn't want District Judge! She just wants the advertisement to build her practice up.

Anonymous said...

Ray we should be able to post what we want. Freedom of speech and you shouldn't have to approve it!

Anonymous said...

Politicians are like Diapers and should be changed often, for the same reason.

Glad you finally came around and changed parties Chap. Good luck in the re-election.

Judge Cain we need to have a political debate. That will show that Mrs. Merendino who she messing with! Thank You

Anonymous said...

I think Mrs. Merendino knows exactly who she is messing with. All the more reason she is getting my family's vote! Things need to change around that courthouse...

Wonder what Judge Cain going to do when Mrs. Merendino wins! I guess he can get in back inline with the other Lawyers needing work!
