Sheriff Patterson wont answer about details of his budget.

Liberty Dispatch has had several questions about Sheriff Patterson’s strange hiring practices. Patterson’s record is clear. He hires mostly people from out of the county for the highest positions within the department.

The most bizarre part of Patterson’s hiring record is how many people he hires that have had documented employee problems elsewhere. Why he chooses to hire troubled souls to protect Liberty County is not a question we are able to answer.

The other questions about hiring people revolve around the money the money the Sheriff has from seizures. To date, the Sheriff has not made the amount of this money or the paper trail showing how it has been used easy for the general public to see. Because of this lack of openness, Patterson continues to leave open the question of his relationship to Eddie Shauberger and the Outsiders – have they received any county benefits for doing what they have claimed to be “Investigations for the Sheriff”.

yes, he gets "troubled souls" for employees. Stands to reason, as he has another for a son in law, and still more, in Fuddy's bunch.

is there a pattern here?

Does Patterson know that the best way to deal with media questions is to answer them honestly and quickly? Weeks have gone by and all his pople hacve done is to say he isn't required to go to commissioners court - that is not the issue. Show me the money!

he should be called before the commissioners court to explain his relationship to people who are bragging they are investigating people for him.

Patterson hides from everything except breakfasts. He is all over that.

give Patterson a break on those bf's. It's the only time slot he has, to straighten out that idiot son-in-law.

the "best way to deal with media questions" is to never buy their rags, support their advertisers, attend their candidate forums, or be around the liberal snakes!

texas rangers might want to look in pattersons truck. they might find a big bag of cash under the back seat. he kept his stash in the trunk when he was at cleveland pd.

"texas rangers might want to look"? not until we get somebody with more honesty than Frank Huff!
totally wasted effort, as things currently stand...

I was in Harris County the other day and when I told them I was from Liberty county they laughed and asked me if I knew Rex Evans. I said yes and they told me that they were so glad when he left Harris county. He was involved in more shootings and internal investigations that any other deputy. He is a danger to society.
