Letter to the Editor: Liberty County Republican Chairman

Mr. McCreight,

I want to thank you for running and reinvigorating the local Republican Party. I am sure some people are disappointed because they liked the man you defeated, but when the dust clears all of us that want to promote conservative values should be behind you.

Nothing personal but the core group of people who were in charge here locally were nothing like the chairman and the workers we had where I am from. Their interests were not always focused on actually helping Republican candidates win elections.

At one point I questioned whether or not our party leaders knew more than a few little things about running a campaign. I don’t mean to sound unappreciative because I am sure they worked hard and did what they knew to do. I know that it sounds strange for me to be critical of their leadership because a few candidates were starting to win for the first time in this county’s recent history. But the fact of the matter is that Republicans in this county really should have won more elections last time. Your Democrats around here have been like the Three Stooges the last four or five years.

I knew if you knew more about campaigns than them you would win. This chairman had high name identification because of his years of service in the most populated area in the county, his run for county judge, and his two terms as county chairman. But with all of those advantages he and his team didn’t seem to know much about politics and you beat him. You know what you are doing.

When you talked about why you were a Republican and what these elections are about, you were easy for me to promote with all of my friends, I am sure they join me in congratulating you and looking forward to even greater success for the Republican Party here in Liberty County.

A Devoted Conservative

I think Andy McCreight will do a fine job as Liberty County Republican Party Chairman. I am glad to see some new energy come into this position. Andy will be a big help to the Republican Party here in Liberty County. (HAWK)

Wisegerber has now been put out to pasture. Have a good retirement Lester and good ridance.

I heard old Lester Ray cussed everyone out last night at the party hg. I thought he was a deacon at 1st Baptist in Dayton. What a fine example for our children.

It amazes me how the Democrats helped pick the Republican primary winners. They are pretty smart snakes.

Republicans, not Democrats, chose the Republican candidates except maybe for Norman Brown. Brown is 80 years old and I am sure because he and his family have been in Dayton forever that Democrats and Republicans both went to vote for him one more time. Loyalty is a strong vote getter. When Norman was running against someone who has not lived around here nearly as long, it made it an easy victory. The genearl election will pit him against a man younger than him with emergency management experience and more personal experience with heavy equipment and construction. And loyalty might be a factor in his opponent getting votes too - along with experience. The general election for commissioner will probably hinge more on who can do the best job?

Norman is in big trouble...!

Well, well, well Rusty Hight's father in law is no longer the Republican County Chairman. Now Lester ray will not have to hide his campaigning for the Democrat he wants to win like he did when Ray Akins ran against Democrat Norman Brown. That was Ray's welcome to Liberty County and the Republican Party and I am grateful it will not be Mark Morefield's welcome to the Republican Party. Voters were right to free Lester Ray to openly support Rusty and voters were right to choose a counterpart to the Democratic Party Chairman who is not conflicted about doing their main job - electing Republicans.

The races that will be settled in November could be some of the nastiest campaigns ever. Democrats do not want to lose power and Republicans want a chance to serve. The one things I expect to see is a bunch of personal attacks and rumors about people's sex lives, etc. to take the focus of what some of wrongdoing and shady dealings these people have done while in office. The people in office who have been committing crimes will ask the voters to punish the unGodly. They will use rumors and some of their friends to tell us who the bad people are. And that will just happen to be their opponent. Shameless politcians who will not resign often even run again for office if they are not exposed. When exposed they will attack attack attack.

As a person who now claims to be a good Republican can we get Norman Brown on record supporting all of the Republicans' candidates? No, we can not. I know alot of us like Norman over here in Dayton. I have supported him all of the way. But we now need to take an honest look and ask ourselves if someone who is eighty years old switching parties and having no loyalty to his new party or his old one is just a clever politician or is he actually the best person for this job. I like you Norman but you said four years ago that was your last term and you said for years you were a Democrat because you believed what they believe. I voted for Leroy and my wife voted in your new party and left your race unmarked.

That old geezer Norman dont have Wisegerber to protect him now. I like his democrat opponent. I will abstain voting for Norman as I am a Republican and will let the Democrats vote in his opponent.

Wow, Wisegerber was surgically removed, good work Ray Akins!

Anonymous said...

Wisegerber, go to the house and faade out in your shame, take your son-in-law Rusty Hight with you we dont want him anymore either.

Anonymous said...

Dont hold it against Paulette just because she has two fairies for sons

Isnt Lester Ray Wisegerber a Deacon at Dayton's 1st Baptist Church, what a poor example of a Christian.

I think old "POTHOLE BROWN" will follow in Lester Ray's footsteps in the November elections. Goodbye Norman, now you and Lester can go fishing together since you will both be retired.

I heard that we have wolves in sheep's clothing running in the republican primaries. If so we need to call them out. We all know who they are talking about.

I was shocked to see Lester was beat but it figures. he had too many Democrats he wanted to get elected. People that sign up to run as Republicans need to know it is rare or even never when they will be worked against by the man signing them up.

I am so glad Phil is out as County Judge. I cant vote for Cain, or Chambers, they're a couple of turncoats with no real alliance, just doing whatever it takes to get elected and certainly not real Republicans. Looks to me like a lot of voters are fed up with the good ole boys. Inside contracts, Vegas trips, everyone in the family gets paid!!! Well look at yourselves now, voted out or the verge of it, and the Feds are sifting through your first grade school records working their way forward. Its too good to be true--but it is!

Ray, you're going to pay for supporting McCreight, Cain, Chambers and Morefield. We are going to make sure Hight and Little ramp your @ss up more. You're enjoyment is going to be short lived. I know who you are and where you live.

Go pothole go! Right out of the county!

Why wont LD drop the axe on Norman Pothole Brown and Warner?

Ray, it looks like you just got a threat from Phil,Rusty and Chip. You need to lock and load, this way you will be ready for the least thing,in order to protect yourself. Maybe you will see who posted this threat against you.
