Feds probe Liberty and Chambers County, indictments begin...

A federal grand jury has indicted Liberty County Sheriff’s Captain, Harry Kelley (Democrat) and Gary Lee, Owner of (Humble) Sportsman Outlet, following an investigation involving the disappearance of approximately 500 firearms from the Cleveland Police Department.

The resulting federal indictments and allegations cast a dark shadow of corruption and illegal activities surrounding Liberty County Sheriff, Henry Patterson (previous Democrat). Also called into question are the activities or lack of... regarding the Liberty County District Attorneys office. Whats even more questionable about Patterson is his decision to keep those under federal investigation working on sensitive cases and investigations within the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. Defense attorneys in Liberty County could now call into question the investigations and any evidence supported by Kelly and Patterson prosecutions.

In unrelated news, federal investigators with Homeland Security have descended down upon Chambers County officials and documents. The Homeland Security investigation centers around the insider trading of contracts, bid rigging (collusion), official misconduct, official oppression, financial fraud, making false statements on government documents, evidence tampering and other allegations against Chambers County Officials and their families.

THIS WOULD BE THE TIME FOR PATTERSON TO HAVE A HOUSE CLEANING IF HE TRULY WANTS TO DO THE RIGHT THING. IF CHANGES ARE NOT MADE NOW BY PATTERSON. MY VOTE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

i wonder how many in the courthouse has one of those missing 400 guns!!!!

Anonymous said...

I dont understand the charges against Kelly. The ATF states Kelly disposed of guns, that was one of his jobs. The ATF states he used the money to buy practice guns through the department, whats wrong with this as long as the department used the practice guns? He is also charged for taking the money from the sale of the disposed weapons and using it to buy things for the department AND???? Excuse me but this all looks like a bunch of bull$hit to me. Its got Chip Fairchild and his side kick Greg Arthur and Frank Huffs orchestration and DNA all over it. I hope Kelly is vindicated and sues the $hit out of those three. Patterson is a conspirator in all this with Kelly???? Whats the real deal here, smell a snake.

Anonymous said...

Frank Huff did what he did and investigated (pushed) this to help hurt Patterson because Patterson run $hit Fairchild and Greg Arthur away. All three lower than snakes.

Jimmy Silvia and Jerry Sparks sitting in a tree....

They will make nice cell butt ies

The case against them is a slam dunk for the feds

I hope we taxpayer don't spend abunch of money going after people with sheriff badges that Huff and Arthur and that scumbag Fairchild have on some kind of hit list.

Jerry said...

Most of us do not know this man. If he was charged with selling confiscated guns and buying weapons for the department and did it improperly, he deserves to be treated just like the manuel says. With all that said I am glad that raping of young women and political witch hunts is not part of the current administrations way of doing business.

Anonymous said...

Everyone knew if Arthur ever got beat and Huffwas still around that indictments would be forthcoming. Huff needs to remember why he became a peace officer and get away from his ole buddies around here.

What about the fake church scam the pagels are running?
Can anyone spell tax fraud?

Anonymous said...

Dont know if Chip Fairchild has a real job, but he seems to be fulltime trying to prosecute those who replaced him at the S.O. I am no fan of Patterson's, in fact I voted for Greg Arthur, but Fairchild is the lowest of them all.

Anonymous said...

Thank you to the Federal Prosecutor who had the guts to do what Mike Little didn't have the guts to do... Thank you again Mr. John Bales, ESQ for helping clean up Liberty County.

Anonymous said...

I woould hate to be one of these investigators coming into this area. Odds are they will sooner or later be looking into the eyes of someone worse than anyone their case involves.... and the really bad guy will be wearing a badge. Or even more likely, he will have worn one under that last group of shady characters.

Anonymous said...

Didn't like Arthur and his inner core group, feel the same way about Patterson. I like the idea someone mentioned about Rader. We have some really good people in the department, Rader's DPS and judicial experience plus his sense of fairness etc. is just what we need.

Anonymous said...

This story smells a little fishy. I am willing to withhold judgment because it is an outside agency, but they have to realize some were already bragging about ruining Patterson the night he stomped Arthur at the polls. When Patterson switched fromDemocrat to Republican just before the last election and Kelly held his nose and went along with it, they became targets.

Anonymous said...

The last person is wrong. Patterson could care less about parties. Kelly may be a big Democrat, but Patterson became a target when he defeated the last sheriff and his henchmen. Plain and simple. If Kelly did something wrong he can forget either party helping him. Republicans don't know him and Democrats don't want him back.

Anonymous said...

"Someone" has warned us repeatedly about this man Kelley. We finally got rid of Chip Fairchild and now we may have another one.

Anonymous said...

It is unfair to point to Kelley's long record of voting Democrat or to point out that Patterson ran the first time as a Democrat. This is about an individual's decisions, not a political party. Ifhe is guilty, it will not be a notch in the Democrat's or Republican's six shooters. We need to get beyond party affiliation in the sheriff's department.

Anonymous said...

"Beyond party affiliation"? Someone tell the District Attorney to tell the last sheriff that. And while you are at it, tell that DA to end the smear campaign against Ray Akins. The handwriting experts, when he finally allows themto, will testify that documents were forged. He can slow down that news all he wants but he and Greg Arthur are the ones that need to stop using any pwoer they have to go after people because of party affiliation. Republicans were not that excited about a man that ran last time as a Democrat running against Arthur, but they knew Arthur needed to go. Republicans will celebrate a Democrat likeKelley getting caught ONLY if he is really guilty.

True or false, Chip Fairchild was the first officer at the scene of a shooting death of a woman's husband he had a relationship with? True or false, Chip Fairchild was the first officer at the scene of the retired teacher who burned to death in a trailor house fire within weeks of making Fairchild a beneficiary? True or false, Chip Fairchild is the lead politico trying to sink Patterson and Kelley and he wants to get that sheriff deputy (or sheriff) star back on his chest? True or false, any law enforcement person using the internet to build a public relations case against the people we have elected to serve and protect is not behaving within the code of conduct of an officer of the law?

Patterson Supporter said...

In his press conference in Beaumont, the US Attorney stated that Sheriff Patterson was not a subject of this investigation. Hey Huff, too bad you and Chip Fairchild couldn't make something stick on Patterson, you are slipping.

Anonymous said...

To all of you people claiming conspiracy give me a break. Haha you don't make up 107 counts. Plus the FEDS don't get involved unless they have something. This man was a crook. I don't care what party he represents, he needs to pay the piper.

Anonymous said...

He was not given orders or permission to take those or any guns from the CPD for distruction, or any other purpose. He stole them, wrote up his own phony department distruction orders trying to cover his theft. Yes he bought training weapons with some of the "stolen moneys", but not for the police department--instead for his own use. He did it on CPD offical paperwork--hence the mail fraud!

Anonymous said...

Republican or democrat, who cares? The real issue here is breaking the law.The post above said we're rid of Chip Fairchild but we're not.He just got re-positioned to the city and if you think that changed anything I've got some oceanfront property........

Anonymous said...

It is about time .But how much have the quilty had time to hide all they have done. Silvia, the Morris's, and all the other guilty partys. Hope we hear about arrest soon but am not holding me breath until it happens. Again it is about time.

Anonymous said...

Yes Chip Fairchild has a real job.I don't know what the title name is,but here's a brief job description.Diddling all the women possible(sexting included),harboring his brother's (Russell Fairchild)real income to keep him from having to pay a rather large judgement, partnering with his brother to extort money from a retired school teacher to build an rv park, living in said school teacher's house for free(located immediately adjacent to rv park) while the teacher lived in a ratty little rv(parked on his brother's property) and payed his brother rent, and taking an unauthorized part in an arsen investigation on his brother's property where said school teacher was murdered,I mean died in a tragic fire.I'm sure this is not a complete job description but it should give a pretty good idea of what his job is!!!

Anonymous said...

If Kelley s guilty, punish him. I makes no difference he is a Democrat, heshould receive normal punishment if he is found guilty. You Republicans have a chance to sound fair now. I will agree Patterson has been attacked fromthe day he got elected. If the eds didn't find anything, he must be clean.

Anonymous said...

If only the feds would have came in and examined some of that clown Fairchild's antics ........

Anonymous said...

My big question is, when is Patterson going to go on the offensive, why is he such a wussy?

Anonymous said...

Patterson is useto dealing with street criminals not so-called white collar criminals. he has beeen reluctant to pursiut and his enemies have dined on aten up his reputation and feasted on his inablity to pick a decent PR/information officer. Green is the kind of lawyer that can be run around the same tree a thousand times and he thinks he has been on a tour of a a national forest. 90% of lawyers need help talking i a political arena likethat of a sheriff's department. That is how thepoitical consultant firms have thrived around Congress even thoug Congress is full of lawyers. Patterson needs to realign his people and begin to trust more of the good nes and put people whee they can help this commnunity the most

Anonymous said...

Youngblood has posted all of this stuff about Patterson being ex and Patterson this and Patterson that. How can people pay ad oney to the same man that undermines those who protect and serve tis community?

Anonymous said...

I heard Kelly is cooperating with the Feds and giving up people in Liberty and Cleveland.

Anonymous said...

the question about Patterson, at the press conference, came from the Moss Hill village idiot. You can hear her voice on the tape, beginning: 'isn't it true that...'
What a slime ball, she is.

Also, Kelley's indictment makes four CPD members' criminal downfalls in five years. Two from Onalaska, then Bluford Blankenship (Cut and Shoot business pilferings, by his wife), and now former CPD Detective Kelley.
This is why the local 911 procedure is to ask: 'can you send an officer over? If... you can find one, who isn't running from the law himself!'

Finally, throw in the fire chief's demise and discovered thievings, and multiple local VFD members, moonlighting as 'firebugs' (arsonists.) Yes, we have quite a local funny farm!

I can't wait until they complete the GPS and surveilance camera grids. (we already have GPS chips in the new, enhanced TDL's, the inspection stickers, passports, and vehicle registration stickers. We're seeing red light cameras and license plate recognition cameras, being installed monthly... 'Big Brother is WATCHING you'!)

THEN, we'll get to learn about all the preachers, cops, judges, and teachers.... patronizing the red light districts of neighboring cities! Oh, what fun we'll have!

oops! the Moss Hill village idiot has her proofreading dysfunction on full public display AGAIN.... notice how she can't even cut and paste paragraphs into their proper place and sequence...

see her current article on the warrant roundup for truants and their parents, to wit:

""Hayden and Metts say they would rather take a proactive approach than see situations escalate to the point of children and parents being arrested for truancy or other crimes, which is why they have contributed financially to a program to help at-risk youths get on the right path for a successful future.

The event is scheduled for Saturday at La Tourretta Resort and Spa on Lake Conroe, conducted by Twelve Stones, a non-profit Conroe-based organization that shares the judge and constable’s vision of a proactive approach to keeping kids in school and educating their parents about their rights and responsibilities, as well as available resources. Metts will address parents on the topic of “Preventative Teaching.”

The judge and constable are also organizing a school supply drive to help families for whom the cost of providing their children with required items presents a financial burden.""

ok, ok, duhhNesa.. we get it, you're hopelessly infested with this dysfunction, (and pray you aren't contagious....) now, go fix your mess, and put the paragraphs in the proper order...

Then, finish the details on the event, as to date and time (''Saturday'', alone, doesn't cut it, as responsible journalism...)
(Finally, call the language arts teachers at Hardin high, and get your MONEY BACK!! they ripped you off.) sheesh!!

Whatever happened to the FEDS investigation into all the supposed Ike Hurricane clean up fraud cases in Liberty County? Answer: Probably swept under the proverbial local rug. You never hear anything else about these srories. Oh I know Phil was ousted from his office and that was his punishment. I guess Lee is next.

Chip and Russell Fairchild have hundreds of guns they have taken from property rooms. Not to mention they are murders of school teachers. Where are you Mike Little?

Looks like this Dennis character cant spell. Its also interesting to note Dennis Sowell ramps on Vanesa but she still has a job and nothings changed. Dennis are you living in a fantasy world? You seem to have a disconnect with reality and a fixation on Vanesa Brashier. Why don't you find a quiet corner somewhere and go re-leave yourself.

she only has a job temporarily. She'll NEVER be a professional. Not as long as she carries out personal vendettas against all conservatives, republicans, and anyone with standards! Everybody knows it, and her countless cancelled subscriptions and ads prove it!

nobody I know, ever called that moss hill village idiot a 'lady'. I call her duhhNesa.

Further, I hope she relies on an imagined longevity as a local editor. I hope she buys thousands on credit, runs up vacation debts, and has her credit maxed to the hilt.

Funny, but a certain OTHER bunch relied, similarly, this spring- only to find themselves totally off the city council...

The great part is: she will never see it coming, when the pink slip arrives! If she could, she would already have resumes printed, and be seriously lining up other options. But, she isn't... more's the pity... (NOT!)

Rely on her 'versions' (try:LIES) of the truth, facts, or news... at your own risk. Certainly, none of the hundreds of former subscribers/advertisers do!
HAHAHAHAHAHA

Anonymous said...

the gals? there's a BIG difference (hee hee!) between gals and BUBBA-ETTES... say: a dozen dress sizes!
HAAHAHAHAHAHAH

Anonymous said...

well, while you're calculating the imagined 'longevity' of the moss hill village idiot, ask yourself this one: exactly how many of the 320 laid off at the GP plywood mill, maintained an Advocate subscription? (Never mind the dozens of occupants, of that desk, over the years... (only death and taxes are permanent!) Ain't exactly a permanent type of position, is it?)

Ditto for the LSCO officers and employees? Ditto for the Cleveland City Council (remember their unanimous letter to the editor this spring?) Ditto for the doctor's diagnostic hospital folks? Ditto for the school district folks at CISD? Ditto for the city hall folks? Ditto for the 6:30 a.m. coffee club at the Plantation? Ditto for the Impact Center people? Ditto for the other diners in town?

Catching ON yet??????

Finally, do you think the higher ups aren't noticing the mass exodus of subscribers and advertisers???? (or.... that they're having to pour in their OWN dollars, monthly, to keep that office afloat?) Can you spell 'money pit'? How about 'negative cash flow'?
How about 'solvency'? I can spell 'mismanagement'!!!!
